Pennsbury Athletic Association Code of Conduct


Pennsbury players displaying good sportsmanship at the end of a game.

Players Code of Conduct:

All players are expected to show respect to their teammates, players from the opposing team, all coaches and umpires, this includes on and off the field.

Players are not to engage in any arguments with other players, coaches or umpires during a game.

Players shall respect all equipment and abuse of equipment will not be tolerated. Players will be held financially responsible for any equipment damaged due to abuse.

Any player ejected from a game for un-sportsman like conduct, including foul language, fighting or abuse of equipment may be suspended from the team.

Players will not invite their friends/siblings into the dugout during the course of a game or
practice.


Parents Code of Conduct:

Parents are the ultimate role models for their children and are expected to support the principlesof good sportsmanship and fair play.

Parents are to ensure their child arrives on time and ready to play for all practices and games.

Parents are expected to be supportive of the players and not to engage in argumentative
behavior with players, coaches, other parents or umpires.

Parents will maintain self-control. They will refrain from disrespectful conduct of any sort,
including profanity, obscene gestures, offensive remarks, taunting or other actions that demean any individual.

During the course of the game, parents will refrain from “shouting out” instructions to their son or to any other players.

Parents are not permitted in the dugout during the game or prior to the start of the game. The only exception to this policy would be if a parent is invited in by the coaching staff for special assistance.
 

If an umpire ejects a parent from the field, that parent shall appear before PAA’s Executive
Board prior to being allowed to return to the field.

A parent will not discuss their son’s playing time or positioning during the course of the game. Discussions of this nature will take place after the game.
