PAA ANNOUNCES MAJOR DIVISION TRYOUTS

ATTENTION 10, 11 and 12 year old Baseball Players

PAA ANNOUNCES MAJOR DIVISION TRYOUTS

For a player to be considered for the Major division they must attend one of our two evaluation sessions.  The sessions are scheduled for Saturday January 31st and Saturday February 7th from 12:30- 3:30 PM at Nation9 Sports Academy.  You must schedule a one hour time slot on signup genius, this allows you to avoid conflicts with other sports obligations or family functions.  Signup genius is first come first serve for time slot availability so please sign up now if you have a preference for date and time.

Follow this link to the signup for evaluations: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C0D48ABAA28A13-major

NOTE:

- You must be registered for the PAA Spring season to participate in evaluations.  If you register by December 31, 2014 you will be eligible for an Early-Bird Discount of $20 per family.  You can sign up by following this link: https://paaball.sportngin.com/register/form/788889093

- If a player does not attend one of the two evaluations then the player will not be eligible for the Major division draft and will be placed on a Minor division team.  If a parent and player prefer to play in the Minor division they can choose to do so and not attend the evaluations.  The goal of the PAA is that each player be put in a position where they can succeed and have fun.

- The player only needs to attend one, one hour, session.

- If a player played on a Major division team last year (were drafted) they do not have to attend evaluations.  Coaches will contact these players after the draft.

For an in depth explanation of the Major Minor format and some FAQ's please go to our website: http://www.paaball.com/page/show/996064-cal-ripken-major-minor

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT GLOVE

With Christmas around the corner, there’s quite a number of baseball/softball gifts to consider buying.

Why not consider purchasing a new glove that will surely put a smile on the face of your young player.

There are few pieces of sports equipment as cherished as a glove, especially after it has been broken in by players from the youth leagues all the way to the professional level.

When selecting a glove for your young athlete, there are a few considerations to take into account to ensure safety and high performance.

One of the most important things to consider is choosing a glove that is the correct size and the right glove for the player’s position.

PAA To Build New Sheds

The PAA is very excited to announce that new sheds will be coming on line for the 2015 season at all 3 of our primary playing locations; benefiting softball and baseball.

Caiola Park, Fred Allan and Mac will be receiving brand new sheds to help our volunteers better manage the fields our kids play on.  These sheds are an essential part of our program that are heavily used and depended upon to store equipment, liner and tractors.  Our old sheds need to be replaced!!!!

As a result we are launching The PAA's first ever CROWDFUNDING program.  We are asking members to make a donation to support this endeavor so that we can defray the costs of building and installing these sheds.

To help out; and any little amount does, please click HERE to start the process.

There are many excellent programs and events being scheduled for our players and members, this is just the start.
