8u Instructional Baseball
The emphasis of the Instructional Division is to provide the players with basic baseball skills, rules of play and teamwork.
Instructional Baseball:
8 Year Old Division - must be 8 years old on April 30th of the current year,
The emphasis of the Instructional Division is to provide the players with basic baseball skills, rules of play and teamwork. The 8 year old division will have players pitch, on a limited basis, midway through the season.
SEASON STARTS– Early April
Teams will play a 10 to 12 game regular season. The season will end in early June. Participation trophies are awarded to all players.
Teams will be selected in mid-March. The 8 year old Division will hold a draft. Each Manager may select one assistant coach after which the balance of the players are drafted. Players will be contacted around the third week of March.
GAMES: 1 or 2 games per week. Most games on Saturday.
FIELDS: Games are played at Quarry Hill Elementary School on Quarry Rd. and at the Lower Makefield Baseball Complex on Edgewood Rd.
UNIFORMS: shirt, pants, hat and socks are issued. Players provide their own gloves and batting helmets. Rubber cleats are recommended.
PRACTICES: Typically one practice per week.
