Regular Season 2012

Welcome to Pennsbury Crushers 11U Baseball

Crushers 2011 Will Thomas Tournament Champions

Recent 11u Travel Baseball - J. Irizarry, Mgr. News

Levittown American had a tough outing on Sunday, as our home town Crushers dominated in a 13-6 win in six innings at Levittown American.   The Crusher offense was led by a flawless day at the dish by Michael Dzelzgalvis, who went 3-3 against Levittown's pitching.  The boys also flashed the leather as James Muldowney made 3 great plays in critical moments of the game while patroling left field and short-stop.

On the pitching front, Zach "Big Z"Moonay set the tone early on by shutting down Levittown American.  Big Z held Levittown American hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five.

The top of the first saw our boys take an early lead, 2-0. A single by Matthew Labar, bringing home Tommy Smith started the scoring. The Crushers then  pushed another run across when JP Irizarry crossed the plate on a passed ball.

Levittown American undaunted came back and scored two runs of its own in the first. Levittown American scored after two walks and two throwing errors.

After a scoreless 2nd inning by both sides, the Crushers  began to take the lead for good by scoring three runs in the third inning when it scored on a passed ball and a two-run single by Tommy Smith.

The boys then piled on three more runs in the top of the fourth. Dylan Danese drove in the first run of the inning with a rocket single off the leg of the pitcher, plating Cole Martillotti. That was followed up by Ryan Oster's single, scoring Dylan.

The Crushers sealed the convincing victory by scoring four runs in the sixth on an RBI singles by Zach Peake,  Michael Dzelzgalvis, and  Zach Moonay.

Crushers face 1st place Levittown!

Crushers looks to ride hot bats to extend winning streak

The Crushers have seem to found a little bit of a groove with the bats and have won their last two games against Southampton and Morrisville - putting up 10 and 22 runs respectively in the matches.  Their defense also appears to have turned the corner giving up only 4 errors in these games after making an unbelievable 12 in their opening day 14-8 loss to Huntingdon Valley.

Today however the Crushers face their toughest test of the young season as they face first place Levittown American at their field. Levittown American who is 2-0 going into today's play has outscored their opponents 23-7.

Can the Crushers continue to improve defensively while Crushing the ball and make it 3 in a row, or will Levittown put the breaks on the boys run?

Come on out and find out today. Game time is 5pm.  Field is located at Amelia Lane & New Falls Rd,  Levittown, PA 19058, right next to Pennsbury High School.

See ya at the Yard

Hope Springs Eternal!

Dear Parents and Fans-

Play Ball! The Pennsbury Crushers begin the official 2012 Suburban Travel Baseball League season on Sunday April 1st  on the road vs. Huntingdon Valley at 1pm.  This year promises to be the most exciting one yet as the boys are playing on the larger 50/70 fields with all the regular baseball rules.  Moreover, the competition has also increased with a record 26 travel teams across Bucks County competing in the coming months for 12 play-off spots and ultimately a Championship!

The Crushers whose motto is "100% Hustle, Playing Smart and Being Great Teammates" are entering their 3rd year as a team and are coming off a very strong second season that saw them not only make, but also advance in the Suburban Travel league play-offs, win the PAA Classic tournament where 11 other A & B level teams competed in addition to also winning their Fall Travel division!  All told the boys won over 30 games after only 6 victories in 2010.

The 2012 Crusher have a couple of new strong new additions and are setting their sights even higher  while remaining true to having fun and playing the game the right way.

Come on out and see your home town Crushers do battle against Huntingdon!
